![]() I honestly thought I was going to be sick. I put my hourglass primer on and the new foundation and it instantly separated. ![]() I prefer silicone based products bc that’s what I already own and they look more airbrushed typically. So then I swatched them beside each other and it was immediately clear. I held it up in the light beside my other bottle and sure enough, it was very obviously a much different shade. When I pulled it out, I thought there was a mistake bc the color was darker and orange. When it arrived, the ingredients lists were the same so I was hopeful. So I went to order, and it said NEW on Sephora and I’m thinking, oooh noooo. So I saw it somewhere on reddit first coincidentally as I was about to buy a new bottle. It’s honestly offensive bc they act like we’re too stupid to notice. They make a great thing and once they have a following, they reformulate. I found a lot of companies do this like briogeo. □ It really has me hot and bothered bc I had finally found my perfect foundation and never intended on trying any others. As u can tell, I’m still feeling some type of way. Do they not care about their reputation? I can only assume not bc I’d be downright embarrassed to put my name on that. I cant believe they think it’s acceptable to sell that absolute trash. Literally any drugstore foundation is better. There are some still saying it’s great and I thought they were either fake reviews or maybe they weren’t too accustomed to good foundations. I feel like it’s really fraudulent because the same reviews for the old formula rave about it so people are still trying it and wondering how anyone could like it. I’m still really disgusted by the whole thing. I went to La Mer after trying about 20 other foundations. I found somewhere that the formula was changed and sure enough, when I got my new bottle that were supposedly the same shade, it was not! The new one separated so bad and it was ridiculously orange. I even think that I’d repurchase it, despite the hefty price tag because it’s worth the money an sometimes you just need to treat yo self.SOS: They changed the formula!!! The new formula is absolute trash! It’s now water based. It gives such a gorgeous complexion and I really love the finish of the foundation on my skin. Overall, the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is one that I don’t think you would regret purchasing. PS Rob was my photographer for the day so I had to include him in a selfie shot, ha! It’s natural, but covers my redness perfectly. You can see here how radiant and luminous the foundation finish is. So if you’re a little bit oily, you might want to try their Matte version OR make sure that you are using a good setting powder or setting spray. I feel like if you have oily skin, you need to be a little bit careful with the Gorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ONLY because I noticed that on my forehead and around my nose, if I was oily at all, sometimes this would break up on my skin. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation: Good For Oily Skin Types? Also, L’Oreal owns Gorgio Armani…Just saying! Both foundations give you a luminous, radiant glow. If you aren’t willing to shell out the big bucks it costs to own this foundation, then why not try it’s supposed “dupe” foundation from the drugstore The L’Oreal True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup is supposed to be a good option at only $9.00 and some change. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation Dupe? HA! I think you can use a beauty blender or a brush and be fine. While I was getting color matched at Nordstrom, the makeup artist recommended that I NOT use a beauty blender with this foundation because the beauty blender will just eat up most of the product, but I’m a risk-taker and I tried it for the sake of this review. The awesome thing about this foundation is that you can wear it pretty sheer or build up the coverage. It’s buildable and looks incredible on the skin giving you a really natural, effortless look to the complexion. It’s a foundation that covers imperfections but still shows your skin. It’s a great buildable, naturally radiant foundation and I really enjoy wearing it. ![]() Overall thoughts on the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation are that it’s really good. Its hydrating fluid glides on seamlessly with a silky texture It’s so weightless that it redefines foundation. What it does: This foundation uses exclusive Micro–fil™ technology to sculpt and brighten, improving texture and blurring imperfections, too. ![]() ![]() Who it’s for: It’s suitable for anyone with any skin type who wants sheer-to-moderate buildable coverage. What it is: An award-winning, oil-free fluid foundation that captures the glow of the perfect skin. ![]()
